Mr. Mercante specializes in assisting clients in hedging activities, international securities issues, trading, risk management and arbitrage activities.  He has worked in the financial services industry for over three decades, during which time he has served in management positions for several major international banks and brokerage organizations.

Past positions have included Vice President and Deputy Treasurer for the New York branch of a major Middle East bank; Vice President and Manager for the New York branch of a major European bank; Vice President of a regional American bank; and Senior Vice President for a broker dealer in international securities.

During his career, Mr. Mercante has opened a New York branch and established a money market and arbitrage unit, designed, instituted and managed hedge programs for both institutional and retail investors, trained capital markets brokers in the areas of FRAs and interest rate swaps, managed fixed income and mortgage-backed securities portfolios, brokered international securities transactions, advised clients on the application of various derivative products and traded various financial market instruments.
